HSeT provides Customized On-Line Training (COLT) for training organizations and institutions. Each program—including course content, learning activities, and self-assessments—is tailored to the needs of specific trainee groups as defined by the partner institution and delivered through dedicated, institution-specific websites. These programs are designed for flexible use, either to enhance an existing curriculum or to support the development of a new one. Learners can engage with the material independently or combine it with traditional face-to-face instruction, depending on the preferences of the training organization.

HSeT programs include discussion forums that facilitate teacher–student interactions as well as peer-to-peer collaboration during group activities. The robust Moodle Learning Management System (LMS) supports the programs, enabling course organizers to monitor each learner’s progress at every stage.

Program components include:
    • Course content: Media-rich web pages featuring topic-specific text, illustrations, animations, and links to the scientific literature.
    • Animations: Step-by-step visualizations of key dynamic biological processes.
    • Learning activities: Innovative pedagogical tools and approaches that help trainers maximize the effectiveness of their teaching.
    • Self-assessments: Tools designed to help learners evaluate strengths and weaknesses, deepen self-awareness, set realistic goals, and identify areas for ongoing professional development.
